Autumn magic

I had the though that since the magic system will probably not be finished in time of some sort of "Why can't we use spells?" plot.

Unfortunately it is a lame plot and has other problems. Since it would be Canberra wide it would get them talking to each other, which we don't want.

We may be able to get away with something along the lines of "the moon and stars are in conjuncture which make all your magic screwy this month, deal with it."

Can anyone think of a suitable astrological event which might screw around with fae magics?

With Easter for the Christains plus Samhain for the Pagans coming up could get interesting especially as Easter was placed over Imbolc [spring festival] in the Northern hemisphere. Mayhap the conjunction of both a spring festival and an autumn festival being celebrated at the same time stuffs up magic at this time of year with regards australia/southern hemisphere.

We would just have to remeber that this makes it a regular occurance.
