Khantabahl Plot for First Game

Plots

  • Deal with the Demon - murderer of Lord Kiefer (Buzz the Gwydion Bodyguard is the red herring, known to have killed him, but Nerys was behind the death) needs to be bloodlet on the Demon's alter beneath the Freehold. If the bloodletting happens, then the Demon will use its powers to make Lord Asriel a Baron.
  • Feeding the Demon - When Lord Kiefer was killed, the feeding the vampire stopped and now 5 years later, the small amounts of blood and Glamour that have been going to the vampire through Asriel's dream are starting to be not enough. Asriel has had a dream telling him that he needs to sacrifice a dreamer on an alter deep beneath the freehold. He gets two visions: One of the radio announcer (Nicole Dickenson, best friend of Loxley and dreamer of Kyrene) being slit from gut to gullet on a cloudy crystal altar and the second of the great cavern of Khantabahl collapsing in an earthquake. He gets the feeling that this is an either/or situation and that time is running out.
  • Hunt the Demon - The demon is not incarnate, far below the freehold in ancient tunnels, there is a huge cavern with an alter. If they hunt it, all they will find is a 2000 year old Vampire entombed in crystal within the altar who is being sucked to maintain the Demon. A voice - ostensible of the Vampire/really of the Demon, will tell them to sod off (or make deals with them).
  • Paying the Tithe to the Count (Every 6 months) - Asriel needs to supply the Count 24 points of Glamour this month.

Baron George Attawater ap Eliend appeared and was promtly given the correct amout of glamour. After the last two freeholds this was a refreshing surprise. He left, promising to mention his experince to the Count.

  • Treaty is due to be renewed at Midwinter - Khantabahl needs to forward their first draft to Ayrie this month to start renewal negotiations and vice versa. They will need to negotiate an agreed treaty by Midwinter.
  • Graveyard Triangle - Wraiths have established a triangle of graveyards (need their third one to reach a critical mass of bodies).
